Nicholas Bequelin is senior researcher at the Asia division of Human Rights Watch, and a visiting scholar at Yale University. He is an expert on ethnic minority issues in China, he has written extensively about Tibet and Xinjiang. He has been living in Hong Kong for the past 15 years.
