David Polonsky is an Israeli graphic novelist and illustrator born in 1973. He was the art director of the acclaimed animated film Waltz With Bashir, which won the Golden Globe award in 2009 for Best Foreign Language Film and was nominated for the Oscar in the same category. He teaches illustration and animation at the Bezalel Academy and the Shenkar School of Design in Jerusalem.
