Jodi Bieber is a South African photographer and 2011 winner of the World Press Photo of the Year Award. She freelanced for Star Newspaper until 1996,when she began freelancing for foreign magazines and newspapers, such as the New York Times and various non-profit organisations. Most of her projects are based in Africa, however her assignment to Pakistan fostered a long-term interest in that country.
