NEW DELHI, July 20 (Reuters) - India’s youth-led ‘cockroach movement’ said on Monday that its founder Abhijeet Dipke was “picked up” by police as two other leaders held talks with Health Minister J.P. Nadda amid protests demanding the resignation of the education minister.

“While we submit a written letter…he (Nadda) has assured us that he will meanwhile speak internally. We are in that process,” chief spokesperson Saurav Das said on X after meeting the minister for “10 minutes”.

The talks were held as thousands of supporters attempted to march on parliament demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over medical college entrance test paper leaks.

New Delhi, 20 luglio (Reuters) - Il “movimento degli scarafaggi” indiano, guidato dai giovani, ha dichiarato lunedì che il suo fondatore Abhijeet Dipke è stato “prelevato” dalla polizia mentre altri due leader erano impegnati in colloqui con il ministro della Salute J.P. Nadda, nel corso delle proteste che chiedevano le dimissioni del ministro dell’Istruzione.

«Mentre presentiamo una lettera scritta… lui (Nadda) ci ha assicurato che nel frattempo ne parlerà internamente. Siamo in questa fase”, ha dichiarato il portavoce capo Saurav Das su X dopo aver incontrato il ministro per “10 minuti”.

I colloqui si sono tenuti mentre migliaia di sostenitori tentavano di marciare verso il Parlamento per chiedere le dimissioni del ministro dell’Istruzione Dharmendra Pradhan e del primo ministro Narendra Modi a seguito della fuga di notizie sui test di ammissione alle facoltà di medicina.
