MEXICO CITY, May 29 (Reuters) - Mexico’s Senate on Friday approved a constitutional amendment to include “foreign interference” as a reason to annul elections in the country.

On Thursday, the lower house backed the amendment, which challenges an article of the constitution and defines foreign interference as “illicit financing, propaganda, the systematic dissemination of misinformation, digital manipulation, and the intervention of foreign governments or agencies.”

Città del Messico, 29 maggio (Reuters) - Il Senato messicano ha approvato venerdì un emendamento costituzionale che include l‘“interferenza straniera” come motivo di annullamento delle elezioni nel Paese.

Giovedì la Camera bassa ha appoggiato l’emendamento, che mette in discussione un articolo della Costituzione e definisce l’interferenza straniera come “il finanziamento illecito, la propaganda, la diffusione sistematica della disinformazione, la manipolazione digitale e l’intervento di paesi o agenzie straniere”.
