Iran fired on cargo ship, US officials tell Reuters

WASHINGTON, June 25 (Reuters) - Iran fired on a cargo ship that had reported earlier on Thursday being hit by a projectile as it attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, two U.S. officials told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The ship reported being struck on its starboard side by a projectile 7.5 nautical miles southeast of Oman’s port of Dahit, British navy agency UKMTO said.

WASHINGTON, 25 giugno (Reuters) - L’Iran ha aperto il fuoco contro una nave da carico che giovedì aveva segnalato di essere stata colpita da un proiettile mentre tentava di attraversare lo Stretto di Hormuz, hanno riferito a Reuters due funzionari statunitensi, parlando in condizione di anonimato.

La nave ha segnalato di essere stata colpita sul lato di dritta da un proiettile a 7,5 miglia nautiche a sud-est del porto di Dahit, in Oman, ha riferito l’agenzia della marina britannica UKMTO.
