Sept 28 (Reuters) - Three migrants, including one child, died on Monday while attempting to cross the Channel from France to Britain, French authorities said on Monday.

France’s maritime police said it received a distress call from an inflatable dinghy carrying 105 people that had run into trouble in calm seas.

The incident occurred hours before Pope Leo was due to pronounce a speech on European peace and unity.

28 settembre (Reuters) - Tre migranti, tra cui un bambino, sono morti lunedì mentre tentavano di attraversare la Manica dalla Francia alla Gran Bretagna, secondo quanto riferito lunedì dalle autorità francesi.

La polizia marittima francese ha dichiarato di aver ricevuto una richiesta di soccorso da un gommone con a bordo 105 persone che si era trovato in difficoltà in mare calmo.

L’incidente è avvenuto poche ore prima che Papa Leone tenesse un discorso sulla pace e l’unità in Europa.
