Iran’s IRGC says four tankers ablaze after hitting mines near Strait of Hormuz

Nov 4 (Reuters) - Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said four oil tankers were destroyed after striking naval mines while trying to traverse a route described as prohibited south of the key waterway of the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement, the elite corps said the tankers were still ablaze, and added that two other vessels had been seized.

4 novembre (Reuters) - La Guardia Rivoluzionaria iraniana ha dichiarato che quattro petroliere sono state distrutte dopo aver urtato delle mine navali mentre tentavano di attraversare una rotta definita proibita a sud dello Stretto di Hormuz, importante via navigabile.

In una dichiarazione, il corpo d’élite ha affermato che le petroliere erano ancora in fiamme e ha aggiunto che altre due navi erano state sequestrate.
