PARIS, May 18 (Reuters) - United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Monday that he would call on G7 finance ministers to follow a sanctions regime in order to keep financing away from what Bessent described as Iran’s “war machine”.

Bessent added that last week’s trip by a U.S. delegation to China, led by President Donald Trump, was “very successful.”

PARIS, 18 maggio (Reuters) - Il segretario al Tesoro degli Stati Uniti Scott Bessent ha detto lunedì che chiederà ai ministri delle Finanze del G7 di seguire un regime di sanzioni per tenere i finanziamenti lontani da quella che Bessent ha definito la “macchina da guerra” dell’Iran.

Bessent ha aggiunto che il viaggio della scorsa settimana di una delegazione statunitense in Cina, guidata dal presidente Donald Trump, ha avuto “molto successo”.
