Former China Development Bank president put under anti-graft investigation

BEIJING, July 19 (Reuters) - The former president of the China Development Bank, Ouyang Weimin, has been put under investigation on suspicion of serious disciplinary and legal violations, China’s anti-graft watchdog, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said on Sunday.

In 2024, a former vice president of the bank was sentenced to 12 years jail and fined for accepting bribes.

PECHINO, 19 luglio (Reuters) - L’ex presidente della Banca cinese per lo sviluppo, Ouyang Weimin, è stato sottoposto a indagine con l’accusa di gravi violazioni disciplinari e legali, ha dichiarato domenica l’organismo anticorruzione cinese, la Commissione centrale per l’ispezione disciplinare.

Nel 2024, un ex vicepresidente della banca era stato condannato a 12 anni di reclusione e al pagamento di una multa per aver accettato tangenti.
