Israel-Lebanon talks in Rome next week postponed, Axios reports

Sept 11 (Reuters) - Talks between Israel and Lebanon that were scheduled to take place in Rome next week have been postponed and will occur instead in October, Axios reported on Friday, citing a U.S. official.

Jewish holidays, a Paris conference and UN General Assembly preparations meant participants could not convene in Rome, Axios cited a source as saying. The Lebanese and Israeli ambassadors are due to meet in Washington, according to the post on X.

11 settembre (Reuters) - I colloqui tra Israele e Libano, che avrebbero dovuto tenersi a Roma la prossima settimana, sono stati rinviati e si terranno invece in ottobre, secondo quanto riportato venerdì da Axios, che cita un funzionario statunitense.

Le festività ebraiche, una conferenza a Parigi e i preparativi per l’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite hanno impedito ai partecipanti di riunirsi a Roma, secondo quanto riferito da Axios citando una fonte. Secondo quanto riportato su X, gli ambasciatori libanesi e israeliani dovrebbero incontrarsi a Washington.
