Houthis say they attacked Riyadh and Aramco facilities in Yanbu

Sept 24 (Reuters) - Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis said on Thursday that they had launched missile and drone attacks on what they described as “a sensitive target” in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh and on Saudi Aramco facilities in the Red Sea city of Yanbu.

The statement came after Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted six ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis towards the southern province of Taif and Yanbu area on the Red Sea.

There was no immediate Saudi confirmation of an attack on Riyadh or of damage or casualties in either Taif and Yanbu.

24 settembre (Reuters) - Gli Houthi yemeniti, alleati dell’Iran, hanno dichiarato giovedì di aver lanciato attacchi con missili e droni contro quello che hanno definito «un obiettivo sensibile» nella capitale saudita Riyadh e contro gli impianti della Saudi Aramco nella città di Yanbu, sul Mar Rosso.

La dichiarazione è arrivata dopo che l’Arabia Saudita ha affermato di aver intercettato sei missili balistici lanciati dagli Houthi verso la provincia meridionale di Taif e l’area di Yanbu sul Mar Rosso.

Non vi è stata alcuna conferma immediata da parte dell’Arabia Saudita riguardo a un attacco a Riyadh né a danni o vittime a Taif o a Yanbu.
