WASHINGTON, April 8 (Reuters) - Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire agreement the U.S. has with Iran “because of Hezbollah” but will “get taken care of,” U.S. President Donald Trump told PBS News in an interview on Wednesday a day after his ceasefire agreement with Iran.

Asked if he was okay with Israel’s continued strikes, Trump said “That’s a separate skirmish,” PBS “News Hour” program’s Liz Landers said in a post on X following the interview.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt earlier said that Lebanon was not part of the deal, Axios reported.

WASHINGTON, 8 aprile (Reuters) - Il Libano non fa parte dell’accordo di cessate il fuoco che gli Stati Uniti hanno con l’Iran “a causa di Hezbollah” ma “se ne occuperà”, ha detto il presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump a PBS News in un’intervista di mercoledì, un giorno dopo l’accordo di cessate il fuoco con l’Iran.

Alla domanda se fosse d’accordo con i continui attacchi di Israele, Trump ha risposto: “È una schermaglia a parte”, ha detto Liz Landers del programma PBS “News Hour” in un post su X dopo l’intervista.

La segretaria stampa della Casa Bianca, Karoline Leavitt, aveva detto in precedenza che il Libano non faceva parte dell’accordo, secondo quanto riportato da Axios.
