Hungarians ‘write history’ in election that Tisza will win, opposition leader says

BUDAPEST, April 12 (Reuters) - Hungarians will write history at an election on Sunday when they choose “between East and West” and the opposition Tisza party will win the vote, party leader Peter Magyar told reporters after casting his vote at a Budapest polling station.

Magyar said that every vote counts in the parliamentary election that could bring record turnout. He also urged people to report any irregulaties they encounter during the voting, adding that “election fraud is a very serious crime”.

BUDAPEST, 12 aprile (Reuters) - Gli ungheresi scriveranno la storia alle elezioni di domenica, quando sceglieranno “tra Est e Ovest” e il partito di opposizione Tisza vincerà il voto, ha detto il leader del partito Peter Magyar ai giornalisti dopo aver espresso il suo voto in un seggio elettorale di Budapest.

Magyar ha detto che ogni voto conta nelle elezioni parlamentari che potrebbero registrare un’affluenza record. Ha inoltre esortato i cittadini a segnalare qualsiasi irregolarità riscontrata durante il voto, aggiungendo che “la frode elettorale è un crimine molto grave”.
