MOSCOW, March 1 - About 500 Russian nationals are readying for evacuation from Iran via Azerbaijan, the Russian embassy in Baku said on Sunday.

“We would like to express our gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for their assistance, including for the prompt consideration of issues related to the issuance of border crossing permits,” it said on its Telegram channel.

A source close to the Azerbaijani government said 192 individuals had been evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan over 38 hours, including 82 Azerbaijani nationals.

The Russian foreign ministry has recommended that Russian nationals move to safe regions in Israel and Iran or leave the countries after military strikes by Israel and the United States.

MOSCA, 1 marzo - Circa 500 cittadini russi si stanno preparando per l’evacuazione dall’Iran attraverso l’Azerbaigian, ha dichiarato domenica l’ambasciata russa a Baku.

“Vorremmo esprimere la nostra gratitudine alla parte azera per la sua assistenza, anche per la pronta considerazione delle questioni relative al rilascio dei permessi di attraversamento del confine”, ha detto sul suo canale Telegram.

Una fonte vicina al governo azero ha detto che 192 persone sono state evacuate dall’Iran all’Azerbaigian nel corso di 38 ore, tra cui 82 cittadini azeri.

Il ministero degli Esteri russo ha raccomandato ai cittadini russi di trasferirsi in regioni sicure in Israele e in Iran o di lasciare i Paesi dopo gli attacchi militari di Israele e degli Stati Uniti.
