SEOUL, Feb 20 (Reuters) - North Korea convened its Ninth Party Congress on Thursday, the country’s biggest political event held in every five years, KCNA reported on Friday.
In an opening speech, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said the economy had overcome recession and the country accomplished major economic goals over the past five years, KCNA said.
