Feb 23 (Reuters) - Nearly 2,200 people have been released from Venezuelan jails since the start of a new amnesty law, lawmaker Jorge Arreaza said on Monday.

Arreaza is president of a commission set up to monitor the implementation of the law, which came into effect on Friday.

23 febbraio (Reuters) - Quasi 2.200 persone sono state rilasciate dalle carceri venezuelane dall’inizio di una nuova legge di amnistia, ha detto lunedì il legislatore Jorge Arreaza.

Arreaza è presidente di una commissione istituita per monitorare l’attuazione della legge, entrata in vigore venerdì.
