VIENNA, March 27 (Reuters) - Austria’s conservative-led, three-party government plans to impose a ban on social media use for children under 14, it said on Friday.

“Austria is introducing a compulsory minimum age of 14 for the use of social media platforms,” conservative junior minister for digitization Alexander Proell told a joint press conference with cabinet members from both of the other ruling parties, adding that draft legislation would be drawn up by June.

VIENNA, 27 marzo (Reuters) - Il governo austriaco a guida conservatrice e tripartito ha intenzione di imporre un divieto di utilizzo dei social media per i minori di 14 anni, ha dichiarato venerdì.

“L’Austria sta introducendo un’età minima obbligatoria di 14 anni per l’uso delle piattaforme di social media”, ha dichiarato il viceministro conservatore per la digitalizzazione Alexander Proell in una conferenza stampa congiunta con i membri del gabinetto di entrambi gli altri partiti al governo, aggiungendo che la bozza di legge sarà redatta entro giugno.
