PARIS, April 9 (Reuters) - The ceasefire agreed by Iran and the United States must also cover military actions in Lebanon, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said on Thursday, adding France condemned “massive” Israeli strikes the previous day.

Barrot added that he expects Iran to make a series of concessions as part of the peace talks due to start in Pakistan.

“Iran must give up to have nuclear weapons and means to obtain them, must give up using its missiles and drones to threaten countries in the region and give up supporting groups like Hezbollah, Hamas and Houthis who destabilize the region,” he said in an interview with Radio Station France Inter.

Iran must also open the traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, he said.

PARIS, 9 aprile (Reuters) - Il cessate il fuoco concordato dall’Iran e dagli Stati Uniti deve coprire anche le azioni militari in Libano, ha detto giovedì il ministro degli esteri francese Jean-Noel Barrot, aggiungendo che la Francia ha condannato i “massicci” attacchi israeliani del giorno precedente.

Barrot ha aggiunto che si aspetta che l’Iran faccia una serie di concessioni nell’ambito dei colloqui di pace che dovrebbero iniziare in Pakistan.

“L’Iran deve rinunciare a possedere armi nucleari e ai mezzi per ottenerle, deve rinunciare a usare i suoi missili e i suoi droni per minacciare i Paesi della regione e deve rinunciare a sostenere gruppi come Hezbollah, Hamas e gli Houthi che destabilizzano la regione”, ha detto in un’intervista a Radio Station France Inter.

L’Iran deve anche aprire il traffico nello Stretto di Hormuz, ha detto.
