AMSTERDAM, March 12 (Reuters) - Prosecutors at the International Criminal Court on Thursday said they had opened an investigation into acts of deportation allegedly committed by Belarus.

Belarus is not a member of the ICC, but the case was brought by Lithuania, which is.

Prosecutors determined that at least part of the alleged crimes by Belarusian authorities were committed on Lithuania’s territory, giving them jurisdiction.

AMSTERDAM, 12 marzo (Reuters) - I procuratori della Corte penale internazionale hanno dichiarato giovedì di aver aperto un’indagine su presunti atti di deportazione commessi dalla Bielorussia.

La Bielorussia non è un membro della CPI, ma il caso è stato intentato dalla Lituania, che lo è.

I procuratori hanno stabilito che almeno una parte dei presunti crimini commessi dalle autorità bielorusse sono stati commessi sul territorio della Lituania, il che conferisce loro la giurisdizione.
