MEXICO CITY, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Wednesday began outlining in her regular morning press conference the government’s proposal for a reform to the country’s electoral law that was expected to reduce electoral budgets and change the system for plurinominal lawmakers.
The proposal follows her Morena party’s overhaul last year of judicial elections, which critics warned could jeopardize the rule of law.
